Sometimes you have a dream that becomes a reality. Sometimes you have a dream that doesn’t. And sometimes you have a dream about a cookie stuffed with frosting that goes into the oven and does not remain stuffed with frosting, but instead becomes the gooiest, most delicious cookie swirled with frosting that you could never have even dreamed up. This is the story about the best cookie I’ve possibly ever made.
For the third post in my engagement party series, I am sharing the recipe and decorating tutorial for these adorable little engagement ring cookies that we made for the party! They are beyond cute for any wedding related activity and were definitely the hit of the party.
Happy Monday, y’all! I’m really excited for this week because I’m going to have three posts going up! I shared about how to host a casual engagement party a little over a week ago, but I didn’t share how to make some of the DIY decor and food items, so I wanted to share those over this week.
Well, I’m officially back from England and back to the grind this week. I have to admit that although I love to get back to a scheduled lifestyle, I am really missing exploring around London and am not ready to give up British tea time. Continue reading “Vanilla Biscotti”
So, this month at work has been rough you guys. Exhausted, and even frustrated on some days, there are really only two ways to unwind: dessert or cocktails… or wine… or beer. Ok, I don’t discriminate on beverages. Continue reading “Margarita Cocktail Cookies Recipe”
Peanut butter cookies are some of my absolute favorite cookies of all time. My mom shared the Betty Crocker recipe with me when I was young, and I fell in love with the crunchy outside and gooey inside that only the perfect combo of Crisco and butter can give. Crisco may seem gross to some, but it’s a miracle worker. Continue reading “Peanut Butter and Cocoa Swirl Cookies Recipe”
With holidays in abundance ranging from national burger day to national cat day (yes, these are real holidays), it only seems fair that there would be a national cookie day. Cookies are amazing, obviously, and are such a staple that everyone loves! Can you think of anyone who doesn’t like cookies?
In honor of national cookie day, bake some up with you favorite cookie loving friends. Here are just a few of the recipes I’ve shared on my blog you could try!
Also, a sneak peek at the cookies I will be posting a recipe for next week: Peanut Butter Cocoa Swirl Cookies. You may just have to celebrate national cookie day again next Tuesday…
Thumbprint Cookies – Perfect for Christmas coming up! These are my favorite buttery, jam filled cookies of the season.
Oreo Reese’s – Are they cookies? Are they candy? Does it really matter? You don’t even have to bake to make a batch of them, and they pair two godly desserts into one.
Cookie Dough Truffles – Another non-baking cookie recipe. Simple, fast, and addicting!
The two things I try to never keep around the house are Oreo cookies and Reese’s Peanut butter Cups. The speed at which I can scarf either of them down is comparable to a college frat boy chugging beer. Either delight really kills the effect of any sort of workout regimen I try to keep.
That being said, sometimes I break my own rules. Especially when it comes to putting the two of these heavenly treats together into one angelic dessert. I have creatively named these godly desserts Oreo Reese’s. I don’t want to brag and say that they’re amazing. But I wouldn’t want to lie to you either.
The basic idea is to take an Oreo cookie, fill it with Reese’s Peanut butter Cup filling (from my Homemade Reese’s Bars post!), and dip the cookies in white chocolate.
