This past weekend one of my baking buddies (and overall good friend) got married to his best friend, Levi. They’re the type of people who are honestly friends with everyone, so the wedding was a huge assortment of friends and family from all over the country. It was casual, yet so personal, and Christian was sweet enough to ask me to bake their rehearsal dinner cake.
Happy Monday, y’all! I’m really excited for this week because I’m going to have three posts going up! I shared about how to host a casual engagement party a little over a week ago, but I didn’t share how to make some of the DIY decor and food items, so I wanted to share those over this week.
Legitimately everywhere I turn there is another engagement. Friends from my childhood, friends I just met in the past year, heck, people at restaurants where I’m eating – it is the season of wedding engagements and DIAMONDS!
Let me start this post by saying it is SO good to be baking again! I had a vacation planned at the end of March with a list of 3-4 DIY fashion projects that I wanted to get done beforehand, so most of March was spent finishing those up. Then I came back from said vacation with the flu and quarantined myself in my room away from the kitchen for about a week. I blame it on my body not being ready to not sit by the pool all day anymore. Continue reading “Cookies and Cream Chocolate Cake Recipe”
I have a very sneaky secret to share with you guys. I love sweets. Ok, that’s not the secret, you already knew that. Continue reading “Guilt Free Chocolate Banana Almond Ice Cream Recipe”
As you may have seen on Instagram over the weekend, Valentine’s cupcakes were whipped up and doled out to a couple of special valentines. Megan found a seriously tempting recipe that she thought K and B would like, so we tried it out! Though I’m not usually one to go for a three part cake recipe, Megan likes the challenge. (Seriously, every recipe she wants to try is always so crazy!) But this one was worth the work. Continue reading “Tipsy Valentine – Chocolate Whiskey Cupcakes Recipe”
Sometimes you’re in a situation where the kitchen is… limited, to say the least. One of these places that comes to mind is a college dorm, a place I oh so loathed to bake in. The second place, is my friend David’s kitchen. Continue reading “College Kitchen Cookie Dough Truffles Recipe”
The two things I try to never keep around the house are Oreo cookies and Reese’s Peanut butter Cups. The speed at which I can scarf either of them down is comparable to a college frat boy chugging beer. Either delight really kills the effect of any sort of workout regimen I try to keep.
That being said, sometimes I break my own rules. Especially when it comes to putting the two of these heavenly treats together into one angelic dessert. I have creatively named these godly desserts Oreo Reese’s. I don’t want to brag and say that they’re amazing. But I wouldn’t want to lie to you either.
The basic idea is to take an Oreo cookie, fill it with Reese’s Peanut butter Cup filling (from my Homemade Reese’s Bars post!), and dip the cookies in white chocolate.
