Lately it feels like balloons have made a comeback. Like, they were very cool when I was six and everyone got to bring a latex balloon home from a birthday party. After a long hiatus, it seems like balloons have become trendy. I’m pretty much obsessed with the balloon installations from Geronimo Balloons, and one of my fave DIY blogs, Sugar and Cloth, is always using them in shoots. They’re synonymous with celebrating, so why not embrace it? Continue reading “DIY Crepe Paper Vine Balloons”
If you didn’t catch it in some of my Instagram stories, my good friends Megan and Ben got engaged! Seeing as I’ll take any opportunity to throw a party, I offered to get an engagement party together for them right away. Continue reading “How to Throw a Casual Engagement Party”
If you’ve been a loyal reader from the start, you will know that we like a good themed party here at Bunny Baubles. After cycling through some of our favorite decades (20s, 60s, and 80s party themes from previous birthdays), Megan and I decided it was time to visit a world-famous festival for some new party inspiration. Willkommen to Oktoberfest!
Sometimes I get an idea into my head, and then that idea brews for a while. In this case, I’ve been waiting to throw this B-Y-O-Pineapple party for about 9 months. Is there anything better than having a fruity beverage in hand and your feet dipped into the pool under the hot sun? Continue reading “B-Y-O-Pineapple Party: DIY Daiquiris in Pineapple Cups”
Decades themed parties are the easiest to throw since you have 10 years of music, food, pop culture, and fashion to choose from. After throwing 20’s and 60’s themed parties for our last two birthdays, Megan and I decided it was time to conquer the 80’s! Back to the 80’s: Nobody Puts the Birthday Girl in the Corner. Continue reading “How to Throw an 80’s Black Light Party”
When Megan decided she wanted to have an 80’s themed birthday party with black lights and neon everything I was obviously on board. Horror struck, however, when I searched for 80’s themed and neon decorated cakes.
Though my Superbowl plans are not yet set, I am sure to be watching the game, rooting on my third adopted team (Go Broncos!), and snacking hard core.
I like to bring something to the party that’s a little different from everyone else. Though wings, pizza, and chips are needed, there always tends to be like five times too many of all of them. If you’re looking for something original to surprise everyone with, try one of the recipes I’ve shared over the last couple of years!
1. Fresh Mango Salsa – It’s great to have an alternative to the normal salsa with this fresh and zesty one!
2. Hummus (for cheaters – so easy!)
3. The godly Chuy’s Jalapeno Ranch Dip – This might not look like much, but get back to me in an hour when you’re still chowing down like you’ll never get to have it again.
4. Baked Shoestring Sweet Potato Fries – Grab a handful – or ten – they’re baked and way better for you than the normal chips.
5. Decadent Crabby Avocado Dip – This is a great way to feed your vegetarian friends since it eats like a meal and so simple to throw together.
As you all know, I threw a 60’s party a couple of weeks ago and I went a little crazy on the psychedelic/groovy decor. I had a lot of paper chains, tons of peace signs, and a little war propaganda, but I really went overboard when it came to the flowers. I had always wanted a reason to go to the store and buy as many flowers as I could carry, so I figured this would be the best time to do so seeing as I was channeling my inner hippie.
