I’m going to be honest with y’all – I have never had a pumpkin spiced latte. I KNOW! AM I EVEN ENJOYING THE FALL SEASON? I guess it’s probably because I make most of my tea and coffee at home, so I’ve never made my way out to Starbucks to try one.
Not to worry though, I am always stuffing myself with pumpkin breads, cupcakes, and any other baked good that can be packed with pumpkin throughout the months of October and November. I think it’s time, however, to introduce a new pumpkin family member to the bunch. The pumpkin pie cocktail.
Pumpkin-y, spiced, fizzy goodness that will warm you up from the inside. I used the Jones Pumpkin Pie Soda from this month’s Degustabox to make this festive, orange drink that get’s a refreshing twist from a bit of lemon juice and a boozy kick from bourbon. It’s even topped with whipped cream, just like pumpkin pie should be! Oh, and for the kids? Pour them a soda straight up with whipped cream so they don’t have to miss out on all the fun.

Oh, and I got a little help decorating this year from Ali at Oh La La Ali who totally helped me get into the Halloween spirit! She introduced me to her adorable Etsy shop filled with banners and coozies that were right up my alley. Halloween items that include puns? I’d be ghoulish not to spend the mummy and just have her do the dec-gore-ating…
